Recently, I struggled financially, and my faith was tested several times. I remember how I had to approach my prayer partner, who walked with me through my prayer and fasting period. The scriptures that guided me during this time were inspirational, and truly, my faith was restored when God helped me resolve my money problems. Now I understand the money prayers that work instantly.
One of the money prayers that is said to work instantly says, ‘Thank you, Almighty, for your abundance. Thank you for making me your steward and for guiding me on how to spend what you grant me on others. I pray for abundance, Lord. I know that you ask us to give, and more will be given unto us. So bless my finances, Lord, so that I can serve others without struggle. All glory and honor be given to you.’ This is an example of a prayer for financial abundance that works instantly if you understand how to go before God. God listens when we pray, and He searches our hearts to know our intent. He says in Jeremiah 1:5 that He knew us even before we were formed in our mother’s womb, so we cannot hide from Him. If we seek Him for financial breakthroughs with the right reasons, He will answer us instantly.

How do you pray for a financial breakthrough?
Financial setbacks are one of the biggest drawbacks in the lives of God’s people. Debts and unpaid bills can affect your life, emotions, and well-being, and sometimes, as a Christian, you may find that you have said numerous prayers, yet there seems to be no change. How, therefore, should you pray for your financial problem?
Make financial requests that are in line with God’s will
As you pray, you have to understand that sometimes, it is much more important to receive wisdom on how to handle your money than to receive a lump sum amount of cash. Ask God for what, in your knowledge as a Christian, he will allow you to have. Do not be selfish or show greed in your prayers, and remember that God has the final say.
Go into prayer and fasting with other believers
There is strength in prayer, so when two or more are gathered and pray towards a cause, there is even much more power. Learn to share your problems with other believers so that you may work together to find answers from God.
Find teachings and guidance from the Bible as you pray
Even in your engagement with God, ensure you read from the Word and understand what is required of you during fasting. Hear from God and let Him guide you as you see Him for a financial breakthrough.
Seek wisdom from God
You need to distinguish between desires and needs even as you pray for a financial breakthrough. Thank God for provision, and remember that all monies come from Him, so let it not deter you from His works.
God comes first
Above all else, understand that God remains the head of your life. During this time when I went before God and asked for my financial breakthrough, I loved what my prayer partner told me. He said that God normally inspects our hearts before granting us our financial wishes. He is a jealous God, so if He discovers that you intend to put your money first and forget Him, then He bars all opportunities that will give you the money you require.
Matthew 6:24 tells us ‘No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.’ This means that money should not be a distraction in your relationship with God.
Ask for Guidance
In times of distress, the Bible asks that we call on God, and He will guide us. Go before Him and state your needs, and He will answer you (Philippians 4:6). As you seek Him, you are also required to have faith that your answer will be granted. Sometimes we present ourselves to God yet doubt that He will work His miracles upon our lives. If we have no faith in what we ask for, then how do we expect to get the answer we seek?
Commit to tithing with what you will receive
The scriptures are strict about tithing. Malachi 3:10 suggests that we bring all that we have and test God on what He will do. In return for our actions and faith in Him, he assures us that He will bless us with so much until there will be no room left to store what He gives. In the Bible, this is the only verse that asks us to test God when we do what He expects of us.
We are urged to tithe what God provides for us, and He will provide much more. The Bible talks about giving 10% of your earnings because it belongs to the Lord. Christians who have been diligent in their tithing know what miracles occur in their lives as soon as they do so. If you commit to tithing, then be assured that God will grant you more.

Can you pray for monetary wisdom?
Yes, you can pray for monetary wisdom. You can say this prayer when asking God for financial wisdom: Dear God, I come to you for wisdom and guidance in my financial life. Help me make wise decisions while handling money. Assist me to be a good steward who uses the money you have granted me to serve you and others. I know that if you lead me to make good financial decisions now, then I can be a blessing to many – Inspired by Alberta Vadnais.
The Bible encourages readers to manage their money with wisdom. We are encouraged to save but not hoard money. We are to use what God has given us to help others and spend the money discreetly. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 implies, ‘Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’ Most times, we pray for finances to come to us when surprisingly, the biblical model encourages more giving than getting.
It is not bad to be rich, but it is wrong to love money more than your God. It is neither bad to be poor, but it is not advised to spend your money carelessly on material things. Ecclesiastes 5:10 warns of someone who is trapped with the desire for money and never gets satisfied with what he gets. All is vanity, so never get used to it. All this explains why praying for monetary wisdom is necessary so that even when God grants you the financial wish you asked for, He will guide you on how not to lose yourself in worldly things.
Do miracle money prayers work instantly?
Nowhere does the Bible mention that miracle money prayers work. The Word goes on to imply that preachers of miracle money are only interested in showing off and accumulating wealth in the name of preaching God’s Word. According to theologians, these preachers are not genuine and have no plan of winning peoples’ hearts to God. You are therefore advised not to pay attention to miracle money prayers.
Miracle money is money that appears in your bag, purse, or life, mysteriously. During crusades, we have witnessed how some preachers declare that you will receive miracle money if you do something, just to prove that God affirms what they are doing. True to their Word, a member of the congregation will check his wallet and scream in shock after finding money he did not have before.
Alternatively, some of these preachers insist that God wants His people to be rich as he condemns poverty, so they do give these miracle money signs as a way of proving that He supports their deeds. Others even mention that when their congregants give money to them and believe in God, then they will receive ten times fold from God.
So people wonder if at all miracle money prayers work instantly. The Word warns against preachers of the world who misguide the church for their gain. 2 Peter 2:3 implies that they exploit their congregants with lies and fabricated stories and will be judged for their actions when the time comes. God knows our daily needs, and His Word mentions that He will provide and feed us like He feeds the birds in the air (Matthew 6:25-26). These verses suggest that we need not worry, nor should we depend on fake prophets who offer false miracle money.
How many money prayers can I say?
According to the Word, you can say as many money prayers as you wish, as long as they address your needs to God. You need to understand what you seek. Sometimes Christians are asked to pray for their financial breakthroughs. Instead of choosing a prayer suitable for their wants, they manoeuvre from prayer to prayer, requesting for increase, debt solutions, and even financial breakthroughs. Speak to God about what you are going through, and have faith that He will answer you.
Some people show in their prayers that their desire to get money will not please God. For example, someone asking for big money to come to him instantly. Or another who approaches God and incessantly prays that he acquires money to shame his enemies. Even though this is a genuine prayer, surely you can use God to shame your enemies and not money. This is someone who wants to grow so that he can show off to his enemies, and this does not demonstrate God’s love.
From the scriptures, it is not a problem to talk to God whenever you can. Mention all money prayers that speak of your situation, as you are not limited. Also, believe that God will answer you, and trust in Him to open financial doors for you.
What is the best time to pray for a financial miracle?
The Bible does not mention that there is a specific time to pray. Orthodox people believe in reciting 7 money prayers even or at specific moments, maybe very early in the morning, so that the prayers work. This is not what our Bible advises. The Bible suggests that we present our problems to Him, and He will answer, no matter the time or day. Don’t forget that His answers are not always ‘Yes’. After He weighs your heart and your desires and decides what is best for you, He can either answer ‘No,’ ‘Yes,’ or ‘Maybe.’
On several occasions, the Bible urges Christians to pray continuously and without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Colossians 4:2, Luke 18:1, Ephesians 6:18). When we go about our daily lives, we can always pray. I love how God has created room for us to speak to Him even silently, on our way to work, as we go about our lives, and even when we retire to bed. There is no specific time to say a prayer.
While trusting Him for a financial miracle, you can continue praying and fasting until He gives you an answer. However, remember Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 6:5-8 on how to pray. And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray to stand in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your unseen Father. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
The Bible tells us to pray in secret, silently and meaningfully. Let us not ask for a financial breakthrough from God for our hidden agenda. Instead, let us seek Him and directly ask Him what we need, knowing that His will is all that matters.
