According to Psalms 68:5, The Bible describes God as the Father to the fatherless and defender to the widows. The Bible implies that even though you do not have a biological or guardian father, he is still your Father if you believe in him. We are all equal before the eyes of God; hence he does not choose who to be a father to.
However, there is a condition for God to be your Father. Psalm 103:13 reads, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” Even though God does not choose to whom he will be a father, the Bible suggests that he is a Father to those who fear and obey him. When one fears God, one becomes keen to obey his commandments and live righteously.
The Bible says that God the Father is Jesus Christ’s Father. 1 John 4:14 reads, “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” this verse confirms that God is the Father of Jesus Christ who came to die and bring salvation to the world. According to John 3:16, the Bible implies that God sent his only Son to die on the cross because he loved the world. It also says that whoever believes in Jesus Christ will have everlasting life in the eternal kingdom. Therefore, the Bible teaches that God the Father has unconditional love for the world.
However, the Bible confirms that God the Father is not only Jesus’ Father but also our Father. John 20:17 reads, “Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” From this verse, Jesus assured God’s people that he is our Father. Jesus was telling his disciples that they should spread his word to all believers and tell them that His God is our God and our Father.
The Bible also says that we should refer to God the Father as Our Father while praying. According to the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, Jesus teaches that we should refer to God as “Our father in Heaven.” Therefore, Christians learn from Jesus that God is the Father. God created everyone on earth; hence even though he is not biologically related to you, you belong to him; hence he is your Father.
The Bible says that no one has ever seen God the Father. In John 1:18, the Bible implies that Only Jesus Christ has ever seen God the Father, for he is in a close relationship with Him. Jesus is the only Son of God according to John 3:16. Being an only son, he has a good relationship with Him and follows all his Father’s will. Acts 7:55-56 speculates that Jesus is sitting at the Right hand of God the Father. This shows that he has been honored and given a great position by God.

We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” The Bible teaches that God sent his Son so that he can bestow glory upon his people. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we receive from God.” The Bible teaches that God the Father is our Father, and he comforts us when we are troubled. Christians are told they should comfort other people just like God comforts them.
John 8:41 “Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and I am here. I came not of my own accord, but He sent me.” Jesus teaches that God sent him so that he could do his work. He also teaches that whoever believes God is the Father will follow what he teaches and seize doing evil.
John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” Jesus assured his disciples that God the Father would send them a helper after he was God. This verse teaches that God sent the Holy Spirit to guard and guide his people.
Matthew 11:27 “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” The Bible implies that only Jesus knows God the Father. However, he can reveal the Father to those who believe in him and follow his teachings.
John 14:8-14 “Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, and that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.” This conversation between Phillip and Jesus teaches that when Christians believe in Jesus Christ, they also believe in God the Father and will inherit God’s kingdom.
John 1:18 “No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.” The Bible speculates that only Jesus Christ has seen God the Father. Throughout the life of Jesus, he followed the will of God and even got crucified to His will. This shows the great relationship that Jesus has with God the Father.
