As a believer in Christ, I have grown in faith, knowing that it is important to get cleansed. For these reasons, I have always read the book of Psalms and used the verses to pray and ask God to cleanse me.
So, last week, one of my bible study members asked me to give him a list of verses from the Book of Psalms that he can read for cleansing.
Since I have spent the better part of my Christian journey reading Psalms for cleansing, it was easy to answer as well as coming up with this article for everyone else.

Some believers suggest that you can use the psalms for cleansing by first getting close to God. They explain using the very book, Psalms 51:10, where David asks God to clean his heart and create the right spirit for him.
Therefore, many believers explain that first; you must get close to God because only God can cleanse you. Next, they believe that your mouth needs to be cleansed, so you use the psalms to ask God to cleanse your mouth.
