Christianity in Great Britain (UK)

Christianity has been the largest religion in Great Britain since the 6th century and through the middle Ages. In the early and mid-20th century, a large number of British strongly identified as Christians and associated the religion with morality. In the 21st century, the number of British identifying as Christians has declined significantly in the past two decades. Even so, Christianity remains the largest religious identity in Great Britain with more than 50% of the population identifying themselves as Christians.
