As a theologian and devout Christian, I have developed an interest in understanding the concept of Heaven on Earth. I am especially intrigued to find out how Heaven can be experienced here on Earth. I recently embarked on a mission of research to learn more and find reliable information on this topic, seeking various takes from priests and theology professors. Thankfully, the research paid off, as I got credible information. As a theology professor, I taught students about the concept of Heaven on Earth. I was eager to teach and answer any questions because I was well-equipped with reliable content from significant research and had been fascinated with this specific topic for some time now. To discover if they understood, I gave my students an essay to write after class. The topic was, how can Heaven be experienced on Earth?
Heaven can be experienced on Earth through salvation which is believing in Jesus Christ and having faith in God. Through salvation, believers can experience Heaven on Earth as they have the Holy Spirit in them. The Holy Spirit is from Heaven, and it is Heaven on Earth as it is the spirit of God on Earth. We get to experience Heaven on Earth through the holy spirit that dwells in us, guiding us to live a devout and divine life free from sin.
In this article, I invite you to join me as I delve deeper into what the Bible says about Heaven on Earth, what it means to experience Heaven on Earth, how to create Heaven on Earth, and much more!
What does it mean to experience Heaven on Earth?
Experiencing Heaven on Earth means being spiritually connected with God. This means that we are physically here on Earth, but spiritually we are connected to Heaven through salvation. By accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we begin to experience Heaven on Earth. We have peaceful and happy lives because we are not concerned with earthly desires. We have the holy spirit in us that guides us and leads us into a divine state of mind and actions; this is what experiencing Heaven on Earth means.
What Does the Bible Say About Heaven On Earth?
The Bible tells us that Heaven will come down to Earth. Heaven will exist on Earth, and God will exist with his creation for eternity. The current Heaven and Earth will come to pass, and we will not remember them. Heaven on Earth is the new Earth where God will dwell together with His creation. This new Earth will be Heaven on Earth as it will replace the current Heaven and Earth. Revelation 21:1-3
Believers will exist together with God in the same realm where we will be able to pray and worship God. In this new Earth which is also physically Heaven on Earth, we will live devout and divine lives free from sin, suffering, death, pain, and sorrow. We will only experience peace, joy, and happiness, which are the treasures that wait for us in this new Earth.
How can you create Heaven on Earth?
Heaven on Earth can only be created by God. Humans do not have the power to create Heaven on Earth. We can only experience what it is like through salvation, which is believing in Jesus Christ and having faith in God. By being saved, we automatically receive the Holy Spirit into our bodies which causes us to experience Heaven on Earth as it is the spirit of God.
The holy spirit gives us believers access to God and frees us from our sins. Being able to access God is experiencing Heaven on Earth, and it is by the grace of Jesus Christ dying for our sins that we can do so.
Is the idea of experiencing Heaven on Earth biblical?
The idea of experiencing Heaven on Earth is not directly mentioned in the Bible. In the Bible, we have various verses that talk about a better future that will take place as we are reunited with Jesus Christ. An example is Revelation 21:3-5, where the Bible states that believers will dwell with God here on Earth. This means that we will all live in one realm together forever.
Experiencing Heaven on Earth means accessing God’s divine presence spiritually while here on Earth. This only occurs to people who are saved through salvation or to God’s chosen ones.
Where in the Bible does it talk about Heaven on Earth?
The Bible talks about the coming of the Kingdom of God, which is Heaven on Earth, in the book of Luke 17:20-21. This bible verse is a record of a discussion between Jesus Christ and the Pharisees. It depicts Jesus answering a question about the kingdom of God, where he tells them that the kingdom of God is present within everyone. This suggests that God’s presence is in all of us, just waiting to be activated.
It is only by salvation that we can activate God’s presence in us through the holy spirit. By activating God’s presence, we can experience Heaven on Earth because it is only in Heaven that we can exist together with God. Here on Earth, we can only catch a glimpse of how it truly feels like to be in God’s presence.
Do we experience Heaven and hell on Earth?
We experience Heaven on Earth by activating the kingdom of God, which is within us Luke 17:20-21. By doing this through salvation, we inherit God’s presence which is the Holy Spirit within us. From this point onwards, we can experience Heaven on Earth as we can know what being in Heaven truly feels like and entails. Furthermore, we are also able to experience hell on Earth.
The Bible depicts hell as a place of eternal suffering and pain. If this is so, then we experience hell often here on Earth. We do experience pain, loss of hope, anguish, suffering, guilt, and shame so many times here on Earth. Some come as consequences of wrong choices, or life just throws incidents our way that may lead to such. We experience the death of loved ones, accidents, poverty, sickness, sadness, and all kinds of discomfort that some describe as being in hell. The only hope we have is a better future that, to many who are having it rough, seems like something that will never come to be.
