Many people long to feel a connection to a higher force. That explains the current obsession with astrology and Zodiac signs. It is not unusual to find people who make serious life decisions based on horoscopes. Others believe that zodiac signs determine one’s personality. The book of Leviticus 19:31 shows that the Bible considers astrology a sin. Although the Bible severely frowns upon astrology as a belief system, one can’t help but wonder, was Jesus a Capricon?
It is not clear if Jesus is a Capricorn. Since there are varying opinions on the exact month and date Christ was born, it is hard to assign Him a single Zodiac sign. A significant portion of Christians believes Jesus was born on December 25. Some say his birth occurred in March. Still, several religions, including Jews, celebrate Christmas on January 6th or 7th. Biblical researchers such as Ian Paul also proposed that Jesus was born in September.
So, Is Jesus really a Capricorn? Does the Bible mention Jesus’ astrology? Why do people associate Jesus with a Pisces personality? Keep reading to gain some insight into these and several other issues relating to the birth of Jesus.
Does the Bible mention astrology?
Astrology has been around for centuries. It is mentioned many times in the Bible. In Daniel 4:7, the Bible says Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation. In the Old Testament, there are many warnings against using astrology to determine one’s life trajectory. The book of Deuteronomy 4:19 gives a firm warning against serving or bowing down to the things that God has created, including stars, the moon, and the sun.
The Bible is quite consistent in its stance on astrology. In Isaiah 47:13, the Bible says, ‘You are wearied with your many counsels; let them stand forth and save you, those who divide the heavens, who gaze at the stars, who at the new moons make know what shall come upon you .’From these and many other scriptures, it is apparent that many people turned to astrology to gain some form of spiritual insight.

Which month was Jesus born?
The early Christians were not particularly interested in the birth date of Jesus. Instead, they commemorated his death and resurrection by observing Easter celebrations. However, contemporary society is rather intrigued by the exact day and month Jesus was born. This is mainly because the Bible and other historical records do not give the precise month of Jesus’ birth.
In ancient times, it was believed that prophets and influential people died on the month and specific day they were born. By that logic, Jesus was conceived during Passover, which was around the same time he was crucified. Believers who think Jesus was conceived during Passover count 9 months ahead to determine when He was born. For most Christians, Passover occurred on March 25, which placed the birthday of Jesus on December 25. However, Christians who used the Greek calendar celebrated Passover on April 6, pushing Christmas to January 6th or 7th.
There are several alternative theories about when Jesus was born. Biblical scholars have shared some information that suggests Jesus might have been born in September. A detailed analysis of the gospel of Luke relates the birth of Jesus to that of John the Baptist, who was conceived 6 months before Jesus. John’s father, Zechariah, was a priest. According to 1 Chronicles 24, he would have been at the temple at the beginning of June when the angel visited him. If Mary conceived 6 months after John, it would mean that Jesus was born in September. Supporters of the September theory believe that it was highly unlikely that shepherds would be herding sheep during winter.
Reasons people think Jesus is a Capricorn
Going by the theory that Christmas should be celebrated on December 25, Jesus is a Capricorn. Many people support this theory for a myriad of reasons. First, astrologists believe that Capricorns are deeply spiritual beings. This coincides with Jesus, who was the Son of God. It does not get more spiritual than that.
It is also believed that Capricorns have firm principles. This is evident in Matthew 21:12, where Jesus punishes people for making the house of God a marketplace. He does not condone any disrespect in the temple.
The field of astrology describes Capricorns as being deeply loyal. It is common knowledge that Jesus was surrounded by a tight-knit group of followers who were friends and confidants. Jesus trusted the 12 disciples and told them deep truths that would be revealed to the rest of the world centuries after His death.
A key characteristic of Capricorns is their ambition and ability to stay focused on their goals. Jesus’ mission to save the world and spread Christianity has been immensely successful. Today the Bible has spread to every part of the world. Jesus was also determined to do the will of God, which saw him get crucified for the sake of the world.
Why do some people believe Jesus is a Pisces?
Some think Jesus was a Pisces due to the connection between Him and John the Baptist. As mentioned earlier, Jesus was conceived six months after John. If John was conceived in December according to the priestly order of Zechariah, it would mean that Jesus was conceived in June. In this case, Jesus’ birthday would fall in March, making him Pisces.

Why is the image of Pisces associated with Jesus?
If the above-mentioned theory is correct, Jesus is a Pisces. This symbol is widely associated with the symbol of the fish. In the book of Mattew 14:13-21, the Bible recounts an incident where Jesus took five loaves of bread and two fish and multiplied them to feed over five thousand men. In this scripture, it can be said that Jesus exhibited a special connection towards fish. Earlier in the book of Mathew 4:19, Jesus says to Simon Peter and Andrew, ‘follow me, and I will make you fishers of men .’In light of this, many early Christians referred to themselves as little fishes.
