Five reasons why you should believe in Jesus

There are so many reasons that I source from both the Holy Scriptures and real-life situations while living. However, I would like to discuss five reasons why I believe in Jesus.

Jesus is the only savior and redeemer of the World.

The belief in Jesus is fundamental to our salvation. Jesus accepted to be humiliated and crucified on the cross and died for the sake of our sins. We receive God’s salvation through His death on the cross. Even though the people crucified Him and accused Him of blasphemy, Jesus reconciled us with God. He sought pardon and mercy for us unto God the Almighty. We received a pardon for all our sins. Through Jesus, the World received pardon and mercy. By his wounds, the sick are healed. He is the source of our earthly freedom.

Jesus is our provider, healer, and source of our Joy.

Throughout His ministry on earth, Jesus healed the sick and became a great influence of Joy. Jesus was so compassionate about the suffering of His people and provided for all that trusted in Him. While in Cana, Galilee, Jesus performed a miracle of changing water into wine. The wine that had been prepared for the guests had run out; Jesus, filled with divine providence, filled their jars with more sweet wine. (John 2:1-11)

Moreover, Jesus performed many other miracles healing the sick, raising the dead, and restoring them to life. He healed the ten lepers (Luke 17:12-19), healed the blind, and even forgave the adulterous woman.

Jesus is the only one who has brought the message about unwavering faith, hope, and love to the people.

Undeniably, Jesus’ main message on earth was about love, faith, and hope. Wherever he preached, he gave a message of hope about the Kingdom of God. He taught that love was the greatest of all the commandments of God. In Leviticus 19:18, Jesus taught that we must love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Furthermore, in Mark 12:30-31, Jesus taught that you must love the Lord your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second of all is to love your neighbor and pray for those who persecute

Jesus is the only one who dedicated His life to living for God.

While on earth, Jesus had a clear mission; to live for God and die for His word. He manifested and taught about the will of God. Jesus generously spoke about the Kingdom of God and prepared us to enter the Kingdom of God. He religiously dedicated His life and surrendered His will to God. He taught in the synagogues about seeking God’s kingdom and living righteous lives. It is through salvation that we are promised eternal life in heaven.

He is the only one who emptied Himself to be a servant of all

From all ages of the earth, Jesus is the only one who humbled himself in the very nature and power of God and accepted to serve that whole World to the point of dying on the cross on behalf of our sins. He made himself nothing out of this World, no material possession, no monies, but serving the human from the bondage of sins.

Mathew recorded, It’s the same way as the son of man, and he didn’t come so that others could serve him. He came to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people” (Mathew 20:28)

In recent times, we cannot find such a servant. Our leaders are corrupt and driven by self-interest. Many world leaders have failed their people and been thrown out of power from political coups and military takeovers.

What are the consequences of not believing in Jesus?

The Bible says that, without faith in Jesus, it is impossible to please him, for he that goes to God must believe that he is and that he is a promoter of those that diligently seek him. (Hebrews 11:6). There are temporal and permanent consequences for those who do not believe in Jesus. The consequences of not believing in Jesus include the following;

They will lack all in God’s providence.

Jesus provides for our needs. Therefore, those who do not have a steadfast belief in God will lack everything within God’s sources. James 1:6-8, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unable in all his” God provides for all that have belief and great faith in Him.

They will lack forgiveness and God’s reconciliation.

Jesus formed a strong relationship between the people and God. He bonded us by accepting to be crucified and die for our sins. God reconciled with all the people on earth at the mercy of His son, Jesus Christ.

So, failing to honor Jesus is going against the will of God, who accepted the sacrifice of His son, Jesus, and forgave the World of his sins and redeemed the whole World. Those who fail to believe in Jesus will end up facing judgment.
