How long was Jesus dead?
The Bible implies that Jesus was dead for three days. Luke 24:1-9 states that when the women went to the tomb, they found the stone rolled away. The body of Jesus was not there. Two men told them that Jesus had resurrected. These men asked the women to remember what Jesus said before His death. That He would be nailed on the cross and come back to life on the third day, Matthew 12:40 says that as Jonah spent three days in the belly of the fish, the Son of Man shall be no more for three days.
Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered to the hands of sinners, be crucified, and on the third day be raised again. Luke 24:5–7
Did Jesus resurrect from the dead?

Luke 24:5-6 implies that Jesus rose from the dead. Mary Magdalene and the other women who had gone to the tomb of Jesus found it empty. The two men who showed up at the tomb also informed them that they should not look for Jesus among the dead because He had risen.
John 13:-21 suggests that Jesus Christ came back to life because He appeared to two of His disciples on their way to Emmaus. He also appeared to His disciples in Jerusalem and showed them the crucifixion scars on His hands.

What does it mean Jesus conquered death?
Jesus conquering death refers to Jesus being alive after dying and resurrecting. The death and resurrection of Jesus signify authority and power. Jesus has power over death, and he holds the keys to death. He conquered death because He will never die again Acts 2:24.
It also means that Jesus was sinless. Genesis 2:17 When man erred God in the garden of Eden, God cursed humankind to die. Romans 6:23 states death is a result of sin. Death could not contain Jesus because He had no sin. He died voluntarily as a sacrifice for our sins. His sinless nature was the reason for His resurrection.
Jesus conquering death means that we have Faith in the gospel. The gospel relies on the victory of Jesus against death. In 1 Corinthians 15:17, the Bible states that if Jesus Christ had not come back to life, our Faith would be useless.
Jesus conquering death also signifies hope in life after death. In 1 Corinthians 15:20, Christ coming back to life is the first fruit of those who have died. It, therefore, means that the resurrection of Jesus is the first of many believers who will come back to life.
Where in the Bible does it say Jesus resurrected?

Mark 16:6, Luke 28:5-6, Mathew 28:5-6 the angel spoke to the women who visited the tomb of Jesus. The women were looking for Jesus after His death on the cross. He told them Jesus was not there, for He had resurrected.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 states that Jesus died for our sins, he was buried in a tomb, and on the third day, He came back to life.

Where is Jesus right now?
The Bible implies that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God in Heaven. Some Bible scholars take this to mean that Jesus reigns together with God. They believe that Jesus has the highest place of honor in the kingdom of God. The book of Romans 8:34 and Ephesians 1:21-23 document this.
In Acts 7:55, Stephen, One of the seven men chosen to look after the church, while on the verge of death, saw Jesus standing at the right-hand side of God. Stephen died from stoning for defending his belief in Jesus Christ in front of the Sanhedrin.
Colossians 3:1-2, Psalms 110:1, and Mathew 26:64 also show Jesus is seated at the right and of God in Heaven.
Biblical proof that Jesus is alive today?
The Bible gives us various accounts of people who saw Jesus after death. International Bible Training Resources state that more than 500 people witnessed Jesus after His resurrection. Jesus is also said to be on the right-hand side of God. Some of the accounts that indicate Jesus is alive today include:
1 Peter 3:22 states that Jesus is in Heaven, on the right-hand side of God. Authorities, angels, and powers submit to Him.
In John 20:19-22 Jesus appeared to the disciples when they had locked themselves in for fear of the Jewish authorities. He spoke to them and then showed them his hands and sides. He commissioned them to spread the gospel and breathed the Holy Spirit toward them.
Hebrews 12:2 and Luke 24:51 also show Jesus is alive today.
Why is it important that Jesus is not dead?
According to Blue Letter Bible, the resurrection of Jesus forms an integral part of the four pillars of the gospel message. The pillars include the death, burial, resurrection, and appearance of Jesus Christ.
Jesus mustn’t be dead. This gives hope to those who have died believing in Jesus. It is an assurance to Christians that there is life after death.
It also identifies the character of Jesus. In many instances, Jesus had prophesied that He would rise from the dead. The resurrection portrays Him as a true prophet. If he had not resurrected, everything that He said would be untrue.
