one being wisdom. I also discovered that even though many people desire to attain wisdom,
some confuse it with knowledge. As a student of the Bible, I learned that the scripture uses the
pronoun “she” to refer to wisdom. The question I often get from some people is, “Is Jesus
wisdom?”

Is Jesus the wisdom in Proverbs?
The Bible mentions in the book of Proverbs that Jesus is wisdom. The book of Proverbs describes wisdom as being something the Lord possessed in Himself at the beginning of His work, which was created as mentioned in Proverbs 8:22–25. However, according to the Bible, Jesus was also present before creation (John 17:5). And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
In 1 Corinthians 1:24, Jesus is referred to as “God’s wisdom.” This simply means that Jesus is referred to as “wisdom” in the book of Proverbs because the Bible mentions Him existing before anything else. The Bible also refers to Christ, or Jesus, as God’s wisdom.
Because Jesus is the only one who existed before God’s creation, so he is the wisdom in Proverbs. Furthermore, knowing Jesus means understanding various issues in life and having the ability to make sound decisions, proving that Jesus manifests Himself as wisdom when you get to know him, and he reveals the mysteries of life that have many confused.
Why Jesus is the wisdom of God?
Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God because what he spoke was from God. Jesus being God’s wisdom simply means that Jesus can make decisions based on combining knowledge, experience, and an intuitive understanding of God. Jesus used salvation to apply spiritual truths to humans to restore lost hope in the creation and the relationship between God and mankind.
God sent Jesus to do God’s will here on earth. Jesus helped mankind know more about God; he explained His nature to man and showed him His power. Jesus is the wisdom of God because, through Him, we can know God, His nature, and what is expected of us by God.
What does ‘the wisdom of God’ mean?
The wisdom of God simply means the competence to make moral choices based on an understanding, insight, and instinctive comprehension of God. The wisdom of God comes from God, and it is only God who can share it with those He has chosen, for example, Jesus Christ, and those who humbly seek it, for example, King Solomon, as mentioned in the Bible. The Bible also urged anyone desiring wisdom to ask God, and God will give it without limits in James 1:5.
The Bible implies the wisdom of God to be for those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior through salvation. Salvation brings us closer to God as we honor Him and learn more about Him and His nature. We can receive a reward for this act of salvation by becoming a part of God’s everlasting kingdom in heaven. We can exist in God’s presence only if we are holy and have God’s wisdom.
How is Jesus wisdom when wisdom was created by God?
Jesus being wise means he also possesses the same character traits as God. Wisdom is not an individual, it is God’s value system as well stated by Dr. James Dobson, Jesus is referred to as wisdom only to signify that His deeds are holy and of the purest intention. This is because everything Jesus did resulted from a will that came from God and an understanding or wisdom about who God was and what He expected from Him.
Jesus is wisdom in the sense of being God the son and possessing Godly wisdom, He has the full knowledge of God’s nature because He is a part of God. In being so, Jesus can make ethical judgments rooted in an interactive knowledge of God. Jesus is wise because He is God’s word in the flesh; He speaks God’s words; He acts on God’s will; and He performs works that bring honor to God.
What does it mean Jesus grew in wisdom?
Jesus’ growth in wisdom has been suggested to mean that He acquired further knowledge and understanding. It simply means that Jesus was not born with all human knowledge and intelligence since He is the Son of God. Jesus became a mortal, a normal human being, and for all humans, we must study, do research, and learn to acquire more knowledge and intelligence on any sort of subject. Learning is part of human nature.
Jesus, who is God the son, came to earth in human form, He took the human form and became mortal. As humans, we increase our intelligence by learning through study and research. Jesus was Human, and He also needed to increase His intelligence through learning and harvesting knowledge from scripture teachers in the temple of Jerusalem, as mentioned in the Bible Luke 2:41-52.
It is implied that Jesus also spent a lot of time in the father’s presence seeking wisdom, guidance, and counsel. These acts ensured that he gained understanding and wisdom concerning his mission on earth, so he grew in stature, as is normal for humans, and wisdom.
How is Jesus wisdom?
Jesus is suggested to be wisdom in the sense that He is God on earth and wields Divine enlightenment. He is completely conscious of God’s nature because He is a part of God. As such, Jesus can make a moral judgment based on an experiential understanding of God’s will. Jesus is wisdom because He is God’s word in the flesh, He speaks God’s words, acts on God’s wishes, and also did work that brought God honor.
Jesus is the definition of wisdom through His many divine acts of applying spiritual truth and sense to us human beings in a manner acceptable to God. Through Jesus, we acquire salvation, which is simply Godly wisdom to interact with God directly.
Bible verses about Jesus as wisdom
1 Corinthians 1:30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. This verse implies that when we spend time in Jesus’ presence, He manifests as wisdom and imparts wisdom in us. This wisdom aids in acquiring righteousness by allowing us to make sound decisions in life.
1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. This verse implies that Jesus is wisdom.
Revelation 5:12 In a loud voice, they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” This verse reveals that Jesus Christ possesses wisdom, and we cannot discuss wisdom without mentioning Jesus.
James 3:17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is, first of all, pure; then it is peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. The book of James attempts to dissect what true wisdom entails. The author suggests that God’s wisdom manifests itself in the choices and decisions we make that result in peace and reflect mercy, fairness, sincerity, complete submission to, and dependence on God.
