Some imply that only God had sovereign power over the rest of Creation, while some insinuate that He gave power to Christ to dominate the rest. Some have debated this thought which makes people ask; did Jesus create us?
The scripture implies that Jesus created us. As we see in different verses, God creates the universe through Christ, described in other verses as the Word John 1:3; Corinthians 8:6. Some scriptures imply that Jesus is equal to God or exists in the same person. However, the Bible describes God endowing Christ the authority over the rest of all He created, meaning He is Supreme.

Does the Bible say Jesus was present during Creation?
The Bible insinuates that Jesus existed during Creation. Teachers of the scripture imply Jesus exists in two forms, incarnate and pre-incarnate. Jesus was born into His physical form, which was not present during Creation. The Bible suggests Jesus’ pre-incarnate form was there before and during design.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Here, the scripture may bring confusion as it changes the subject of who the creator is—however, reference to verses that mention God creating the universe through Jesus. Therefore, we can assume Jesus was present during Creation, emphasizing the part the verse says, “in the image of God he created him.”
John 1:1, In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The Word references Jesus Christ, who was present at the beginning of Creation. It further describes that the Word is different from God; they are different. Again, it brings together the union of Jesus and God; the Word was God.
Another verse, Corinthians 8:6, mentions that there is only one God, the Father of the universe while noting that we exist through Jesus Christ. According to this verse, we live through God and Jesus; if this is the case, Jesus may have existed during Creation. As termed in Colossians 1:18, he is the firstborn of all Creation; Jesus existed before the universe.
What does it mean that Jesus created and sustained the world?
Jesus Christ sustains and created the world through the power of our heavenly Father. We acknowledge that it is God who made all that is in the world, and Jesus gets to oversee that all He created is well taken care of. In Genesis 1:15, they refer to Jesus as the firstborn of all Creation; with this title, God accords Jesus’ supreme power over the rest of Creation.
Hebrews 1:2 But in these last days, he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world, Hebrews 1:2. This verse implies that God bestowed the sovereign ability to watch over his Creation. It mentions that God created the universe through Jesus and serves as the overseer of His Creation.
The scripture mentions Jesus as being present in the beginning with the Father. The Bible insinuates that all things were made through Jesus; without him, nothing was made. God created the universe through Christ; therefore, it was through Him that all came to be.
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ was faithful over God’s house as a son. And we are his house if we hold our confidence and pride in our hope fast. This verse explains to us Christ’s position, God’s son, to head and sustain the rest of His Creation.
What does it mean that Jesus created all things visible and invisible?
Some verses imply that God created the universe through Jesus. Therefore, He brought all seen and unseen into existence through Him. When they refer to Jesus creating all things visible and invisible, He made all that is in Heaven and on earth by the power of God.
The visible creations are all seen with eyes, animals, humans, plants, and heavenly bodies. While the invisible is all that is unseen with the bare eyes, such as spirits, angels, and souls. All those are under His authority.
Colossians 1:16 For in him all things were created, in Heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or authorities all things were created through him and for him. This verse gives a picture of the invisible creations: principalities and powers.
The scripture mentions that Jesus is before all things, and all things hold together in him. To understand better, Jesus has power that brings together all that is on earth. As written in this verse, he binds together what is seen and unseen. The scripture is clear on Jesus’ position over all Creation. He reigns supreme over the rest and triumphs over the visible and invisible creations.
What does it mean that Jesus is the “firstborn” over Creation?
The Bible mentions firstborn over Creation about Jesus. This term conflicts with the description of Jesus as the creator; if indeed he was the creator, how could He create himself? They refer to Jesus as the firstborn of all Creation, Colossians 1:15, which means He has priority over the rest of Creation.
Religious scholars debate Jesus’ existence; some claim He came to be after Creation, while others imply He existed in the pre-incarnate and incarnate forms. This explanation agrees with the term firstborn to mean Jesus was pre-existent. Furthermore, the Bible refers to the firstborn not to birth order but to rank. Therefore, God ranked Jesus first over other creations.
1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. Despite the scripture describing Jesus as the creator, John tells us in this verse that only one God remains the supreme creator of all things.
If God is the creator, then what did Jesus create?
According to the scripture, understanding who the creator becoming difficult since God and Jesus are called creators. However, Hebrews 1:2-10 explains to us the role Jesus had in Creation. All things were created through Jesus Christ.
In some verses, they refer to Jesus as God. He resembles God in all aspects Hebrew 1:3. Therefore, the scripture teachers insinuate that Jesus may perform specific duties just as the Heavenly Father did. However, we get that Jesus did not create; instead, God created through Him.
