The scripture notes that he can save us, provides for those who believe in him, strengthen us, and blesses us freely according to his riches in heaven. Therefore, there is nothing that we can’t get from Jesus Christ. He is enough and can give us everything we need; thus, there is no point in searching for other things outside him.

What does it mean that Jesus is enough?
The phrase ‘Jesus is enough’ is often used to mean that there is nothing or no one apart from Jesus that can give us the peace, joy, and contentment that we need to live complete lives. Jesus is enough in so many ways; in him, we receive everything we require to lead holy lives.
However, theologians posit that the significant reason that he is enough is by becoming the sacrificial lamb and dying on the cross so that we may be saved. Jesus became a sin so that we may draw closer to God, our Father, which was the sole purpose of creation. Therefore, he is enough in every other way.
Where in the Bible does it say Jesus is enough?
Several verses in the Bible indicate that Jesus is enough. The book of Ephesians 1:13-14 reads, “In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation and believe in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.”
As Christians, we all strive and stay righteous because of one major thing, to inherit the Kingdom of God. With that being the main goal of a Christian, everything you do needs to point you in that direction. The Bible reminds us that Jesus guarantees our inheritance, meaning that he is everything we need to inherit the Kingdom of God.
Moreover, the book of John 14:8 reads, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” When Philip asked Jesus this question, the answer Jesus gave indicated that he was enough. Jesus said, “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.”
Philip thought that maybe there was another sign that would come. But Jesus reassured him that he was enough. He was the only sacrifice God needed to cleanse all world; true to that, we are all saved through the blood he shed on the cross.
How do you know Jesus is enough as a Christian?
As Christians, we are required to believe in Jesus and the truth. Therefore, the only way we can know Jesus is enough is by reading his word and believing in what he says. The book of Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of your according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Jesus cares for us, and he will never forsake us. Therefore, we need anything in this life; we have to pray to him and have faith he will do exactly what he says he will do. The scripture says that he is a faithful God even when we are unfaithful. Therefore, he will fulfill each of the promises he has made to us.
The book of Acts 4:12 says, “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Jesus is the only name on earth that we were given that through him we can attain salvation. Therefore, it is key to have faith in God and his words; through that, the Spirit of God will convict us and show us how Jesus is enough.
Furthermore, Jesus is enough because he indicates he is. John 19:30 says, “When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, it is finished, and he bowed his head and gave up his Spirit.” There is no other way to ascertain that Jesus is enough but only to have faith and believe in his word.
How do you make Jesus enough for you?
It is key to understand that Jesus is already enough, and we do not have to make him enough in our lives. We are supposed to believe in his word, submit to him, and let him lead our lives. To submit to God is to trust that he is enough and focus on doing his will and not doubting his word.
However, for Jesus to be enough in your life, you must first accept him as your savior. The Bible tells us that to have eternal life, we must believe in Jesus Christ. Therefore, we must be in him to experience his fullness in our lives. He says that we cannot bear any fruit outside him; it is only in him that we can find all the satisfaction and contentment in life.
Bible verses to remind you that Jesus is enough
1st Peter 1:2-3 reads, “Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his glory and goodness.”
The book of Peter reminds us that we have everything we need to live a holy life. Christ has extended to us his peace and Grace, but we can only be aware of this when we know of him.
2nd Corinthians 12:9 says, “But he said, my Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
If you accept Christ in your life and believe in his word, then his Grace will be sufficient in everything you need and go through in this life. You will not have to look outside to seek satisfaction or comfort, as Christ’s Grace will be sufficient to hold you through.
John 15:5 reads, “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me, you can do nothing.”
Christ is clear that for us to be fruitful in our lives, we have to abide in him. This simply indicates that he is the power and everything we need to make us fruitful. However, he also goes on and says that those who are out of him will wither and die. Be encouraged to remain in the Lord throughout every season of your life.
