Humans have the propensity to favor the nicer things in life. We constantly aspire to live comfortable lives with nice cars, nice homes, and excellent jobs. As humans, we also hope for good news amid life’s challenges and desire good news from every activity we indulge in. Christians discuss the good news, read about the good news, and learn about it in church, but what they really want to know is: is Jesus good news?
The good news is found in Jesus Christ. He is a gift that must be accepted, and it is from this gift that all hope ultimately stems. Jesus Christ is the living example of the gospel of good news, as stated in the scripture Luke 4:18, who came to earth to provide a remedy to humanity wholly deprived of real hope.

What does it mean that Jesus is good news?
Jesus Christ is the living example of the gospel’s good news, which is salvation that results in a share in God’s kingdom and eternal life. Jesus Christ restored the positive relationship between God and humanity by dying on the cross. The good news is about accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior through salvation and living by the precepts passed down to us by Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ Himself proclaimed that He came to bring the good news to the poor in the Bible verse Luke 4:18, which says, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.” He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free. All this was good news to the victims, Jesus is the good news.
Where in the Bible does it say Jesus is good news?
Jesus Christ is mentioned as the good news in the Bible verse Mark 1:15, which says, “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near.” “Repent and believe the good news!” The Kingdom of God is drawing closer, and the only way to inherit it is by accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior through faith in salvation, according to this verse. Jesus is the good news, and people should believe in Him.
Christians today describe Jesus Christ as the gospel of the good news; by giving the voiceless a voice, the faceless a face, and the underprivileged and disadvantaged of this world an identity, he is the “breaking in” that offers true life. He is the “controversy” that has affected all societies and cultures throughout history. In the end, Jesus Christ is Emmanuel, or God with us. He is a gift that demands to be accepted, and that gift is where all hope originally comes from.
Only through salvation through Jesus Christ will Christians’ relationship with God be restored. Jesus Christ brought salvation to humanity. Christians can live in divine form by accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior because they are led by the good news that is Jesus. Christians can establish a relationship with God and gain access to God’s kingdom and eternal life by doing this.
What is the good news of Jesus?
The good news of Jesus is that through his death on the cross, Jesus Christ was able to give humanity the gift of salvation, eternal life, and an inheritance in God’s kingdom. Accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior pave the way for our reconciliation with the Creator God. God is holy and without sin, so to have access to Him, we must be cleansed of our sins through the salvation that Jesus gave us.
The good news of Jesus also includes receiving a portion of God’s kingdom. We can inherit the Kingdom of God, which is heaven, by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and by following the rules he established for us as a living example. It is said that God and Jesus Christ dwell in heaven. All sincere Christians will spend all of eternity in heaven with God and Jesus.
Another aspect of the good news of Jesus is eternal life. This is the eternal life that Christians will receive as their reward for living a life that resembles that of Christ while he was on earth—a divine life. Christians believe that they will spend all of eternity with God because of the eternal life that they will receive through salvation.
What makes Jesus good news?
Christ is the good news because of His deeds and mission. Jesus gave the world new hope. Jesus Christ gave instructions on how to live on earth and deal with problems that arise every day. Jesus Christ performed miracles like healing the sick and raising the dead, which helped Christians understand more about God and His nature. Each person and location that Jesus Christ visited experienced the good news that He brought.
Jesus Christ’s being the word of God in flesh makes Him good news, as mentioned in the Bible verse John 1:14, which says, “The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. This shows that Jesus was sent by God. The will of God is always good news to Christians, as it defines Christianity.
Because He died on the cross to restore the relationship between God and humanity through salvation, which in turn enables Christians to have a close relationship with God, Jesus Christ is good news. The good news for Christians is that they can obtain eternal life and inherit the Kingdom of God through salvation and that Jesus Christ will make it possible for them to be eternally united with God in heaven.
