Jesus’ teachings are based on fundamentals that resonate with His purpose of coming to the earth. Jesus taught that He was the actual fulfillment of the messianic prophecy. He was the Saviour unto which He forgives everyone’s sin, and all received a pardon for their sins. He taught that those who had faith in God would be called to God’s Kingdom and guaranteed everlasting life. Moreover, Jesus taught about judgment on all those that don’t believe and receive His word and decide to go against the teachings of the Kingdom of God.
In His teachings, Jesus reinforces the importance of having deep faith in God. Mathew 21:22 “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, If you have faith.” Believing in God and His wonderful ministry in our lives. Faith moves mountains, and we are challenged to grow our trust in God.
Furthermore, Jesus taught the value of reconciliation and forgiveness. It is essential to acknowledge our weaknesses in Christ ask for pardon from Christ and whenever we wrong those around us. God is full of mercy and compassion. He will forgive us when we seek his mercy. The story of Zacchaeus, the tax collector in Luke 19:7, demonstrates how Jesus is ready to set us free from the bondage of sin and welcome us all into His Kingdom.
The most exciting of Jesus’ teaching is the Kingdom of God. Those who had a deep faith in God received healing and were saved from the devil’s snares on earth. Jesus’ purpose on earth was to enlighten the people’s minds and show them how it feels to belong to the Kingdom of God.
As the Lord’s Prayer teaches, Jesus says that we pray for God’s Kingdom to come. (Mathew 6:10). All Christians are called to the instruments of God’s grace and favor as they share in the gospel of the Second coming of Christ. The Kingdom of God has to grow, and Christians are encouraged to be fishers of men to God’s Kingdom.

Jesus taught us to love God and others as one of the greatest commandments. And He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ It is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:37-39).
The parable of the Good Samaritan is a good example of loving your neighbor. A Samaritan came across a man attacked by robbers and left half dead. He helped him by dressing his wounds, taking him to an inn, and paying for all expenses (Luke 10:30-37). It shows us the love and care that we should have toward others.

Jesus was presented to us as a fulfillment of the prophesies made about Messiah. The identity of Jesus was an integral and essential part of His teaching. Learning about who Jesus was and why God sent him into this world. We learn that Jesus is the true son of God who came to save mankind from perishing in sin and death.
Jesus is important to us and has perfect love; He extends to us His mercy. By his teachings, hope, and peace, we use it as an example to change our lives, face our temptations, and move forward in steadfast faith to an everlasting life.
Forgiveness and Salvation are the fundamental essentials of Jesus Christ. He taught about the forgiveness of sins. He showed God’s manifestation through repentance and holiness. We acknowledge Jesus’s love for us by forgiving our sins and accepting the suffering of being humiliated, crucified on the cross, and dying for our own sake. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.”
Additionally, Jesus taught about receiving Salvation and leading a righteous life. Whenever we are ready to be Jesus’ followers, he forgives our past and restores our future. God does not chase us away, no matter the time of our Salvation. When we implore upon his mercy, he restores our dignity and welcomes us into His Kingdom.
How did Jesus’ teachings lay a foundation for modern-day Christianity?
Jesus’ teachings are a principle on how we should live as Christians. As Christians, we should live a life that goes in hand with the teachings of Jesus. We are taught to pray, love others, serve others, live exemplary lives, be kind and be evangelists of the word. These teachings will help us to walk a righteous life and fulfill God’s work on earth.
What were the three main teachings of Jesus?
Forgiveness is one of the main teachings of Jesus. Jesus said we should not forgive seven times but seventy-seven times. He then says a parable about a Master who forgave a servant with his debt, but the servant did not do the same to someone else who had his debt. The master then throws him to jail until he pays him back (Matthew 18:21-35). It is a lesson that we should forgive each other.
Jesus taught us that love is the greatest commandment. Jesus taught us to love God with all our soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). We can show our love to others through good deeds, just like the Good Samaritan.
Jesus taught us to do to others as we want them to do to us (Matthew 7:12). Jesus practiced this by staying around sinners and tax collectors. He treated them with love and accepted them. We should treat others with love, politeness, and kindness and show good deeds to others.
