Christians have faith that Jesus is like God. He is everywhere and listens to everything that they say to Him. This is because the Bible implies that Jesus ascended to heaven and is sitting on the right hand of God. However, some non-believers don’t believe Jesus is everywhere and listens to everything we say. So, can Jesus hear me?”
According to John 14:13, the Bible implies that whatever we ask in the name of Jesus, He will do it. The verse teaches that Jesus can hear whatever you say to Him. He listens to us and grants us help when we ask through His name.
Can Jesus hear my thoughts? Do I have to pray out loud for Jesus to hear me? How do I pray so Jesus can hear me? How do I know Jesus is hearing my prayers? If Jesus is hearing me, why isn’t he responding to my prayers? What can cause Jesus not to hear my prayers? Signs that Jesus is responding to your prayer? Read till the end to find the answers to these questions and more.
Can Jesus hear my thoughts?
Jesus can hear every thought you have because he is God. According to Romans 10:9, the Bible implies that whoever declares with their tongue that Jesus is Lord, they will get saved. The verse teaches that Jesus has the same power as the Lord God. Therefore, just like God hears all our thoughts, so does Jesus.
Psalm 94:11 reads, “The Lord knows the thoughts of man that they are but a breath.” The Bible implies that the Lord knows all our thoughts. Not only does Jesus know your thoughts but also what you will think about later. Jesus has great power as the son of God. Therefore, we should pray to think of good things to continue being righteous in Jesus Christ.
Do I have to pray out loud for Jesus to hear me?
You don’t have to pray aloud for Jesus to hear your prayer. Jesus hears all prayers regardless of how loud or quiet you are while you pray. He does not answer prayers according to the amount of volume you use. When you pray to Jesus sincerely, he will listen to you and answer what you ask.
However, Jesus taught in Matthew 6:5 that one should not pray as hypocrites pray. He said that they pray aloud so that others can hear them. Jesus said that one should be humble as one prays. You don’t have to shout while praying because Jesus will still listen to you even when you pray in a low voice.
How do I pray so Jesus can hear me?
For Jesus to hear you, you should pray humbly. According to 2 Chronicles 7:14, the Bible implies that for those who humble themselves and pray, Jesus will hear them. You should go to Jesus while humble for Him to listen to you.
When Jesus was teaching the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew chapter 5, He taught that one should pray in secrecy in their room. Jesus taught that you don’t have to make everyone know you are praying.
You should also pray with faith for Jesus to hear you. James 1:6 reads, “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” The Bible teaches that one should not doubt when they pray because Jesus will ignore them. For Jesus to hear and answer whatever you ask of Him, first believe that he will do it. In the story of Jesus, Jesus healed many people because of their faith. Therefore, Jesus will hear you because of your faith.
How do I know Jesus is hearing my prayers?
Jesus hears all our prayers. Even the ones He does not grant, He hears them and chooses whether or not to answer. We know that Jesus is hearing us because he promised to listen to all prayers done in his name. According to John 14:13, the Bible implies that Jesus answers all prayers done in his name. Therefore, Jesus has promised He will hear what we ask in his name and answer it.
Another way to know that Jesus hears us is when our prayers get answered. Whenever you receive what you ask for shows Jesus has heard and answered your prayers. Jesus told his disciples that they should seek and they will receive. Therefore, Jesus is always ready to listen to you and give you whatever you seek from Him.
If Jesus is hearing me, why isn’t he responding to my prayers?
Jesus has three answers to our prayers. He can answer your prayers with a “Yes” or “No” or “Wait.” Sometimes Jesus wants you to be patient until the right time reaches for him to answer your prayers. This does not mean He will not answer your prayers, it’s just that the right time is yet to come. Therefore, give it some time and continue being consistent with your prayer so He can answer.
Also, James 4:3 implies that Jesus refuses to respond to some prayers because of the evil motives behind those prayers. Jesus cannot answer prayers that cause harm to others. When you pray with wrong motives, Jesus ignores those prayers. The reasons behind certain prayers influence the answer that Jesus will give you.
Like God, Jesus answers the prayers that He finds good for us. Jesus knows what is good for you. He answers the prayers that will benefit his followers. Jesus ignores prayers that He finds non-beneficial for us. Jesus cannot give you something that will be bad for you.
What can cause Jesus not to hear my prayers?
Praying with wrong motives can cause Jesus to ignore your prayer. James 4:3 reads, “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” Jesus knows what is good for us. He answers good prayers, and that will bring us prosperity in life. Therefore, we should be careful of the reasons behind our prayers. Make the reasons good so that your prayers can be answered.
Also, praying with no faith can cause Jesus to ignore your prayer. According to James 1:6, the Bible implies that when you pray, you must believe and not doubt because doubt is like a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed away. Jesus wants us to have faith when we pray to Him so that He can grant what we ask. When you pray while having doubt, Jesus will ignore your prayer, and it shall not come to pass.
Signs that Jesus is responding to your prayer?
Things fall into place as you requested.
When you pray for something, and it comes to pass, it is a sign that Jesus heard your prayer and granted you the help you needed. Jesus is always ready to help those who pray to Him. Nothing is a coincidence when it comes to Jesus.
Having peace of mind.
According to Philippians 4:6-7, the Bible speculates that one should not be worried because, through prayer, one gets the peace of God that is beyond human understanding through Jesus Christ. It is a sign that Jesus is listening to your prayer when you don’t get worried about anything.
Becoming a changed person
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, the Bible implies that when we are in Jesus, we become new creatures. When you pray to Jesus, he changes you and your point of view. Jesus forgives our sins when we pray to him and changes us so that we can be righteous and receive the Kingdom of God.
