The Bible doesn’t explicitly state whether or not Satan can understand tongues, however, there’s no indication that Satan can understand the language of tongues, as implied in 1 Corinthians 14:2. Furthermore, Theological studies suggest that Satan isn’t all-knowing and can’t read our thoughts or understand all languages. While he’s a powerful spiritual being, his abilities are limited and subject to God’s sovereignty.

Also, you should pay attention to the fruit of the Spirit in the person’s life, as suggested in Galatians 5:22-23. Finally, it’s important to seek discernment and wisdom from God through prayer and the reading of Scripture, as suggested in James 1:5 to discern truth from falsehood.
Does praying in tongues keep the devil from eavesdropping?

It’s also worth knowing that most Christians believe that praying in tongues can be a powerful tool in spiritual warfare that can help protect against the devil’s schemes.
