As a result, it is necessary to get closer to Jesus because he will reward you with the Holy Spirit.

It explains everything one has to learn about Jesus from he was conceived to when He ascended to heaven after his resurrection. This enables you to build your faith in Jesus and seek Him more. After believing in Jesus’ existence, He draws you to Him; hence you get closer to him as his follower and friend.
Follow His Commandments.
According to John 14:15, the Bible implies that Jesus said that whoever loves him will follow his commandments. Jesus’ commandments are in His teachings. Therefore, when we follow Jesus’ teachings, we get a chance to get closer to Him. Jesus’ teachings show how God expects us to live so we can have eternal life. By followings them, we get to be righteous; hence Jesus will welcome us into His loving hands.

Jesus always helped those who were in need. He visited the sick and healed them, raised the dead, fed those who did not have anything to eat, and many more. Therefore, to get closer to Jesus, we should follow his leads and help those that need our help. Also, according to Matthew 5:42, the Bible implies that Jesus told us to help those who beg from us. This is what Jesus wants us to do to be closer to Him.
Worship Jesus
One should worship and adore Jesus to be closer to Him. Jesus is part of the Holy Trinity. The Bible implies that human beings got reconciled with God through Jesus Christ. He sacrificed his life for our salvation. Therefore, we need to worship Him to thank him for all that he did for us. When we worship Jesus, we admit that we believe everything there is about Him and get to be drawn close to Him.
Love others
Jesus showed love to everyone he met. Because of His love for us, He accepted to die on the cross for our sins. Therefore, to get close to Jesus, we need to love others just like Jesus loved us. Also, Jesus taught about love in His teachings, and John 15:12 implies that Jesus said that we should love one another just like he loves us. This is another way to get close to Jesus because he will only love you if you love others.
