How will Jesus help me?
Whenever we call on Jesus, he renews our strength and fulfills His promise to protect us from all evil and grant our heart desires. Jesus acknowledges us and understands our weaknesses in life. He will forgive us our sins and renew our spirit in God, so we get back to the right path of salvation.
His promises cover all our shortfalls and are sufficient for all our needs, storms in life, and whatever problems we face. Jesus says in Mathew 7:7, “Ask and it shall be given to you, seek, and you shall find, knock, and the door will be opened to you.” Through our prayers, sacrifices, and our humble requests, Jesus will grant us all only if we trust and believe in His power.
Before He ascended to heaven, Jesus assured His disciples that He would send them a helper. True to His word, the Holy Spirit came down to the apostles like fire on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 8:15-17). When we believe in Him, He appreciates our prayers and immediately answers our requests.
How do I ask Jesus for help?
You can seek Jesus’ help through prayer. While on earth, Jesus’ taught that remaining steadfast in prayer and believing in all that we ask for in prayer will be granted by God.
In the gospel of Mark 11:24, Jesus teaches that, whatever we seek for Inn prayer, we believe that we have received it, and it shall be ours. Humbling ourselves to Jesus and speaking directly to Him in prayer is the best way to seek help from Jesus.
Did Jesus say he would help us?
Yes, Jesus encouraged us that through steadfast prayer and faith in His name, he would grant all that we seek from Him. We are challenged to keep a deep trust in Jesus through all our deeds, and at the end of it, God will remember His promises and grant all that we ask from Him.
From the scriptures, Jesus gave us an affirmation of His help to us at any time of our need. In the gospel of John 1:4, Jesus says, “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
Furthermore, Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one goes to the Father except through Him. It means that we have to align our desires with God’s will. Asking for anything through Jesus’ name means that we are honoring and glorifying God. And when we are down in spirit and feel insufficient of God’s grace, we can find all only through Him. If we follow His path, He will give us all that we have asked from Him.
When should you ask Jesus for help?
You should ask Jesus for help at any point in your life and when through any given situation. At all times, we should endeavor to recognize that Jesus is the source of our help, and whenever we call on him for guidance, He will hear and answer our requests.
Most Christians only ask God for help when they are in trouble and when the world seems to go hard on them. However, this should not be the case. Even when we are in happy times and have all we need, we should thank God for it and ask for His continued blessings.
Making a thanksgiving to Jesus is the same as asking for more blessings. Through all situations of our life, Jesus remains our steadfast leader, and we give it all to Him, whether it’s pains, sorrows, troubles, or thanksgiving, because all glory and honor belong to Jesus.
Can you ask God for help instead of Jesus?
Yes, you can ask God for help. However, anything we ask from Jesus is the same as the Father (God). It is through Jesus that God granted us salvation. Jesus came to earth and was humiliated, crucified on the cross, and died on behalf of our sins.
He understands our prayers and represents us in the Kingdom of God. When we ask for help from God, it is through Jesus Christ that he listens and grants our sins.
Jesus reconciled us with God and granted us our salvation. Through all our prayers, we must acknowledge His sacrifice and implore Him to represent our requests to God so that we get it in plenty.
Prayers for seeking help from Jesus
There are no specific prayers to seek help from Jesus. Jesus listens to our requests through our own words of prayer. However, Jesus taught us about the Lord’s Prayer. The Lord’s Prayer is the most important prayer that Jesus taught us while seeking help from Him. Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus taught us how to pray in our lives. We learn from the scriptures how we have to humble ourselves and ask for help from Jesus.
Jesus taught that we start by acknowledging and glorifying God and asking for His Kingdom to come down to us. He teaches that we ask God to give us our daily bread. Bread means much more than food to eat. It means all the needs that we ask from God, be it our troubles, our storms, our joy, and all our struggles. Jesus will grant us all that we ask through our Lord’s Prayer.
Jesus listens to us through our own prayers. We are encouraged to seek our help from Jesus in our own words. Jesus knows us already, and He understands all our needs. Presenting our requests to Him in our own way will enable us to learn from our mistakes and acknowledge Jesus as the source of our help.
