As we gather here today, let us join our hearts in prayer for you who are about to undergo surgery; remember that God has a plan for you, a plan for welfare and not evil, to give me a future and hope.
Let us lift our words in prayer and seek our heavenly Father.
Let us pray.
Dear heavenly Father,
I thank you for how far I’ve come; you are the alpha and the omega; you knew me even before I was formed in my mother’s womb.
You have never abandoned me, dear Lord, and now that I’m about to go into surgery, Father, you will be with me as my strength, for there is no distance in the spirit.
Father, I surrender my worry, fear, anxiety, sadness, concern, or feelings that bring the spirit down unto you in Jesus’ name.
I believe in the word that tells me to be strong and of good courage and not to be afraid or terrified because, you, my Lord God, will never leave nor forsake me.
I stand firm on your word. I invite the healing power of Jesus Christ to every ailing part of my body. May I be restored to health by your healing grace, cover me with the blood of Jesus and teach my body to live in perfect harmony.
Father, I come before you and place all who are a part of the surgery. I pray that the blood of Jesus is upon them and that you may give them wisdom and strength, be with them throughout the procedure, and guide their hands with every incision they make.
Be in the room with us to protect them from any evil. May the blood of Jesus anoint and cover every inch and corner of the room and every instrument that they touch and use.
As it is written in the book of Philippians, not to be anxious but in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to you so that his peace can transcend all understanding and guide our hearts and minds in Jesus Christ.
Lord, I pray for peace that surpasses all human understanding before, during, and after the surgery. In Jesus name, we pray.
Amen.
