You may have lost a loved one, and you would like them to have peace in their eternal peace. In such a moment, you should trust in God because He is the one who gives peace to the rested souls.
Open your heart to God, and let us pray.
Dear God,
Thank you for being faithful in my life. You have shown me mercy and kept me from danger to be alive to this moment. Lord, I come to you at this time to ask for peaceful rest for (mention the name of the rested Soul).
You are the prince of peace, and you give peace to those who ask from you. Please, Lord, grant them good rest in you. It is in you alone that our Souls find rest because you are our fortress, and to this Soul, Lord, even though departed from us, I believe you will give them rest.
Father, when Christ died, He went to the world of the dead, and there He brought life to those who had died and took them to the holy city.
You did that, then, and conquered death, help this Soul find peace where it now lies.
Father, you do not delight in our death and persecution but that we may reach eternal rest in peace. I pray that you may forgive the sins of this Soul so that it may find eternal peace in you.
Jesus Christ, you are the way, the truth, and the life, and you said that no one comes to the Father unless through you. I pray that you may let this Soul get to the Father by your grace.
You gave peace to your servant, Lazarus, after he died, he found peace and comfort in you. This is the kind of peace and comfort, I pray that you may grant this Soul.
You say that you shall judge both the living and the dead. May this Soul, Lord, find favor in you so that it shall enter your eternal rest.
I believe you will grant them peace because, in you, there is everything we need. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
