God requires us to put aside our fleshly desires and seek fellowship with Him through fasting. As you prepare to break your fast, it’s important to thank God for spiritual rejuvenation.
Create an atmosphere of gratitude in your heart, and let’s bow down in prayer.
Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving me the strength to fast and pray. As I wind up this season, I pray that you open new doors in my life. Let this fast be the beginning of breakthroughs and the end of pain and oppression.
As your word says in Isaiah 58:6-9, may this fasting period give me the grace to Live a life that glorifies You, Lord. I pray that you may supply all my needs so I can share my blessings with others.
Father, being the weak human being that I am, there are many times I got distracted during the fast. For that, I sincerely pray for your forgiveness.
It does not reflect my commitment to worshipping you in truth and spirit, as explained in John 4:23, “Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.”
Give me the grace to obey your commands about fasting and prayer. Keep reminding me of who I am in you, despite my weaknesses.
Lord, I thank you because your word reminds me that you are a compassionate and gracious God. Teach me your unconditional love.
Father as I close this fast, flood my life with your mercy like never before. Be a light and a shield for my family and everyone associated with me.
Just like it is written in Psalms 91, I trust that whoever runs to you for safety does not have to fear or want for anything.
Heavenly Father, even though my fast is ending, help me to continue hearing your voice in every area of my life. Please correct me when I go astray because Hebrews 12:6 says you discipline the people you love: “because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
That is why you sent a whale to swallow Johan when he refused to obey your command in Jonah 1.
As I prepare to eat my first good meal, I praise your Holy Name. I do not take your provision for granted. Thank you for putting food on my table and a roof over my head.
Father, remember the less fortunate and be their provider as well. Let me end this fast as a better Christian than I started.
In Jesus’ name, I pray and believe.
Amen.
