Father,

I thank you for the gift of grace that enables me to approach you directly in times of need. Through your Holy Spirit, you gave me the privilege to talk to you directly and ask for whatever I want.

Today, I come before you, king of kings. I acknowledge that you are the omniscient God with whom there is nothing hidden from you.

You know everything the future holds and foresee events before they happen. I acknowledge that I am ignorant and that without you, I am bound to make bad decisions.

Just as your servant Solomon sought your wisdom to lead your people, I come before you today, asking for your wisdom and counsel.

I need discernment to know what is right from wrong, what is beneficial, and what is vanity.

Your word tells us to ask for wisdom and discernment from you, and you will shower us with abundance without reproach.

You also taught your disciples that if we ask whatever we wish with a true heart, you are faithful enough to fulfill our desires.

Father, I need to make the right decisions lest I fall out of the way and sin against you. May the Holy Spirit guide my actions to please and honor your will.

Your word tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fill my heart with the Holy Spirit to keep your commandments so that I may gain wisdom.

I need your wisdom in making the right decisions so that my plans will be established. Your word tells us that wherever there is no counsel, nations fail, but with wise counsel, nations are established.

I do not want to go on this journey alone, nor do I want to lean on my understanding. I trust in your wisdom and the plans you have for me.

I pray that you guide my footsteps to seek wisdom from you in every situation I come across. May my actions be led by you, and may your spirit calm my mind to judge every situation correctly.

Let my heart be calm in your presence as I seek your guidance in whatever I do.
