As we begin this prayer, let’s reflect on 1 John 4:4 which reads, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
God is sovereign and has the power to deliver us from all evil. Think about the many times He has delivered you from the devil’s plans.
Worship and praise Him because of what He has done and what He will do. Now, let us pray.
Dear Lord,
I praise You because You are mighty, and You see beyond what I can see with my naked eye. You determine the past, present, and future.
Thank you for guiding and watching over me in the past. I thank You for the protection and deliverance that You bestowed on me when I needed You.
Now, deliver me from my false fears and fill me with Your love because perfect love casts out fear. I cover my mind with the helmet of salvation.
Sometimes, the worries of this demanding world cloud my mind. Deliver me from negative and evil thoughts and help me to fix my thoughts on things that are pure, lovely, right, honorable, and admirable.
I desire to be transformed by the renewal of my mind so that I may be able to discern Your will. Help me not to follow the patterns of this world but to be transformed by Your word.
Clear my heart from anything that can hinder me from hearing Your voice.
In this overwhelming moment, I run to You because You are my refuge and fortress. Your angels will guard me and protect me in all my ways.
A thousand enemies may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, but they will not come near me. I embrace your promise to cover me with your feathers, and under Your wings, I will find refuge.
Thank You for the assurance in Your word that If I love and acknowledge You, You will rescue and protect me.
I put on your full armor so that I can stand in these evil days. Give me a discerning heart and eyes to discern any evil ahead of me. Do not let me get into temptation, but deliver me from all evil.
I pray that the power in the blood of Jesus Christ may break all the chains of bondage in my life. Father, deliver me from the bondage of sin and renew a willing spirit within me.
I thank you for Your deliverance and receive it now. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
Amen.
