Powerful Prayer for New Year (Start Your Year With This Serene Prayer)

Beginning everything with God allows his grace to guide us through to the end. As you begin this new year, say this prayer to seek God’s guidance throughout the year and see your goals come true.

Let us pray.

Dear Lord Jesus,

I come before you merciful God, thanking you for the gift of life and a new year. I do not take it for granted that I have lived to see a new chapter of my life.

It is only your grace and mercy that have carried me through. As I step into this new year, I pray that you see the desires of my heart. I pray that you guide me to fulfil my resolutions for this new year.

I have goals and aspirations that I have committed before you my Lord. Your word says that the desires of the heart belong to the heart of man but you fulfil your plans at your appointed time.

I cannot do this without you God. You are my hope in this time of need. I pray that you send your Spirit to guide my actions towards success.

I step into a year whose challenges I know nothing about. Lord, I ask for strength and wisdom from you, to overcome any challenge that will come my way.

Just as your servant Moses asked you to walk with him, I pray that you walk with me on this journey. This new year I seek growth and redemption.

I pray that your Spirit guides me through growth through all aspects of my life. I pray for spiritual, financial, and career growth.

Let me break through the bad habits that have been holding me back, and unleash a more disciplined version of me. I pray for more doors of opportunities and growth to open to me and for the strength to navigate new horizons.

Help me to continue trusting in you even when situations are difficult for me. Guide me to be more humble, more compassionate towards the weak, do more to serve you and humanity, and be an example of what it means to be your child.

Let my heart not forget your faithfulness when this year comes to a closure and may your name be glorified. In the name of your son Jesus Christ, I pray.

Amen.
