You might be struggling with a lack of peace within your family. Your family members might be having conflicts that make your whole family lack peace.
You can find peace if you believe in Jesus because He left us peace when He went to Heaven as we see in John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
So, open your heart to your Father and let us pray.
Dear Lord,
Receive all the glory because you have given us a family. Your name is Jehovah Shalom, our peace, I give you praise. Father, today I pray for peace in my family, the peace you give to those you love.
I am seeking your face today, Lord, with all my heart, soul, and mind, because you have promised that to whoever asks of you anything in prayer and supplication, you will give peace.
Lord, remember my family members who lack peace and intervene in their situation. You have said in your word that you delight when your people live together in unity, and You command your blessings to them.
Please, Lord, I ask this favor from you that you may give us peace so that you will command your blessing upon our family. You are the God who blesses His people with strength and peace.
I ask for these blessings of peace, and my family will know that you are God.
Make me a peacemaker so that I can help restore peace in my family. You delight in peacemakers, and assure us in Matthew 5:9 that they shall be called your children: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
This is my desire to be a peacemaker and be called your child. I welcome you, Jesus, in my family because you are the Prince of peace. You came to the world as Emmanuel, God with us, so that we may have peace.
Lord, you are the founder of the family, and your word commands us to live together in peace, with children obeying their parents and the parents avoiding angering their children.
This is your will, Lord, and I pray that you restore my family’s peace so that we may please you. Help us identify where we are going wrong, so that we may rectify and live well with each other.
Deliver us from any source of evil that may be taking our peace away. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
